Notice Regarding the Church of the Good Thief (St. Dismas), Portsmouth Village, Kingston ⛪️
The Archdiocese of Kingston, through its Diocesan Building & Property Committee, has been mandated to divest of the Church of the Good Thief property. In doing so, preference will be given to a local buyer who will respect the heritage of the property and repurpose it in harmony with the Portsmouth community and, more broadly, with Kingston’s historical character. If you or someone you know may be interested in assuming ownership of this historic church, please contact Kenneth Hall, Chancellor of Temporal Affairs, Archdiocese of Kingston.
UPCOMING EVENTS:
THIS WEEKEND! Foy Hall Garage Sale: will be open EVERY Friday and Saturday, throughout the fall, at 91 Princess St. in Lanark Village. Open 10am-2:30pm. Come check out the great deals! Weather permitting, we hope the sale will continue through November.

THIS WEEKEND! St. John’s Social Sunday: This Sunday, October 26th, our Parish Council invites everyone to join us for Social Sunday! Stay after Mass to enjoy a snack, a warm beverage, and good fellowship with fellow parishioners. As a concrete expression of our faith and care for those in need, CWL members will be collecting non-perishable food donations for The Table Community Food Centre. For a list of most-needed items, please visit www.thetablecfc.org. A donation basket will
remain in the church for ongoing contributions, as The Table is very much in need of our continued support. The CWL will regularly monitor and deliver the collected items, and they’ll also be on hand to receive donations each month during our Social Sundays. Thank you for your generosity and for helping us live out our call to serve others in our community!
