WELCOME TO THIS WEEK'S FLOCKNOTE
In today’s Gospel, Jesus speaks words that are comforting, “Do not let your hearts be troubled… I am the way, and the truth, and the life” (John 14:1, 6). While Thomas asks for directions, and Philip asks for proof, Jesus offers neither a map nor a demonstration. Jesus only offers Himself.
We often want clarity about the future: Where is my life going? What will happen to my family? What lies ahead for the Church? Jesus does not hand us a blueprint. Instead, He says: walk with Me. Faith is less about knowing the route and more about trusting the Guide.
Think of a child learning to cross the road. The child does not study traffic patterns or calculate risk. He simply holds his parent’s hand. That trust, that relationship, is what gets him safely across. In the same way, Jesus invites us not into a system, but into communion.
This is why Jesus says, “Whoever has seen me has seen the Father” (John 14:9). God is not distant or abstract. God has a face, the face of Christ: compassionate, patient, and self-giving. When we look at Jesus healing, forgiving, and breaking bread, we see the very heart of God.
And here comes the promise: “Whoever believes in me will do the works that I do” (John 14:12). This is not an exaggeration; it is a mission. Through the Holy Spirit, the life of Christ continues in us. We become His hands, His voice, His presence in the world.
All of this leads us here, to the Eucharist. At this altar, Jesus does not merely show us the way, He becomes our way. He gives Himself as food for the journey, strengthening our trust, deepening our union with Him. The One who says, “I am the way” now comes to dwell within us.
So today, bring your questions, your uncertainties, your troubled heart. And receive not just answers, but Him. For in receiving Jesus, we are already on the way, already in the truth, already sharing in the life that does not end.

annual Priests Retreat. Weekday Masses are cancelled. Weekend Masses will proceed as usual. May our Priests enjoy a rejuvenating and blessed retreat
